For those of you that get the chance, you MUST attend one of these. I took the wife up to Cambridge Springs, PA on Sunday and we went to The Riverside Inn, possibly the first "Health spa" now turned into a Dinner Theatre.

This place was down right awesome. I couldn't think of any other words. We laughed from start to finish as we watched the show and ate with our hands (no utensils allowed!) I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life. It's been some time since I've had that much fun in an afternoon.

Here's what we had as the knaves and wenches not only perform for you, but also served a delicious feast!

Fresh Vegetable Beef Soup
Garden Fresh Salad
Homemade Bread
Whole Roasted Stuffed Chicken
Ale & Barbeque Braised Ribs
Cheese
Apple Slices
Dessert

The trip was about 1.5hrs for us but I would have travelled 10 hrs to watch this show and experience the Medieval Feast!

This place has other shows, during each season, including murder mystery and Christmas shows. I'm sure we'll be heading back ina couple months to see the Christmas shows. ANyhow who's interested, check out

I can second that. I've been to several such feasts, one medieval and another Shakespearean.

To see the consternation on the faces of some of the prim society types when they learn there are no utensils is priceless by itself.

Being served by a bawdy wench isn't bad, either!

My wife and I have attended Texas Ren Fest pretty much every year since we have been married (Comming up on 9 years) attended before we were married, and I went pretty much every year before I met her. To this day the only place I would rather be than a good Ren Fest is hunting or fishin. Nothing else comes close. If you are ever in Las Vegas try the Excaliber dinner and jousting show it is another FIRST RATE show and dinner.

Yes I agree Petey if there was a good medieval feast place near us I would be even MORE broke than I already am. . .

And for those who wonder yes we go in costume (Or garb depending on if you have ever been around SCA folks) My wife is a first class seamstress and costume maker, though she has not had much buisness in a few years.
