At a gun show Sat I looked at a Kaar? P9....(9MM)... it's pronounced (car) but I can't remember the spelling. It felt great in my hand was easy to conceal with a holster from Dillon, sat high on the belt in 2 o'clock position and overall seemed to be just what I was looking for.
Two tables later the guy says "stay away from them they jam too often"
Anybody know these guns? Anybody had any experience with them, good or bad?

Khar's are good weapons,, but the ploymers have suffered from early problems and some bad press,,this has mostly been the Pm9 model,, THe P9 has worked well and had few problems.

Most all problems for the later guns stem from improper break in,,Khars are just dlat tight, and even though the paper work says 200 round break in, some take more.

If you check other boards you will find a world of opinions,

Khar is the typical Like it // Hate it.

FOr me I'll stick with them for now,, I carry T9{Steel} and a Pm9 in the pocket

We see quite a few KAHR's on the range. Not a bad gun actually but a high % of them dont function well for the first couple hundred rounds.

Personally, I would not carry any handgun for defense, including revolvers, that I had not shot a couple hundred rounds though, but I have to admit, when new, I see more KAHRs malfunction than other well made autos.

I have a K-40 which I bought used and dont recall it ever having a bobble but I have probably only fired it 500 times. It is a bit heavier than the "P" series guns.

Some really serious folks have adopted the P-9 compact to replace a J-Frame S&W .38 as their B.U.G. or Hideout. That sort of speaks well for them.

Good luck!
