Blacktail down!

Got me a blacktail on Saltspring Island this past weekend. The rut is on! He's not huge, but at 120 lbs. he is respectable for the area.
Almost got stepped on by another buck while belly crawling around a hedgerow in a field. I am not sure who was more surprised.

I was wondering when you'd be posting a picture of your buck this year. That's a pretty respectable buck and just as heavy as our average whitetails here in PA! I always has a hankerin' to hunt those deer. Someday I guess! Congratulations
