Shot a few deer with them in revolvers and muzzleloaders, they worked, but never got one to exit.

I load these for my Marlin lever gun. I have tried them in my Smith Mountain gun, but frankly, they are a bit much in a revolver that light.
They might be ok in a SBH or a big single action, but I am going to limit them around here to the lever rifle.

I`ve shot them, but never killed anything with them. For years I thought that the Serria 240 HP`s were the best deer bullet from a handgun. From what I`ve seen of the Gold Dot`s they look like they are pretty close to the same in accuracy and terminal preformance. I would guess that they are just a hair softer than the Serrias which would give them a slight edge at .44 Spec. velosities, but that`s a guess.

I prefer the 180>210 grain bullets in my Contender. If your looking for exits go for the Wadcuters.

The last deer I harvested was hit in the right rear rib cage, bullet was recovered from the left front shoulder. 65+ yd shot.
