Hi Folks -
(Posted here also at the suggestion of another member)

For those of you who don’t know me, I am Rob, the Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program Director for the Lake Plains Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation here in Rochester NY. The Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program provides opportunities for fishing, hunting, and other outdoor related activities to people with disabilities. Should you like more information about the program, please go to www.nwtf.org and click on the Wheelin’ Sportsmen banner.

I need to identify those individuals, either able-bodied or with some sort of disability, who would like to be involved with this program. We believe there are sportsmen and women who are willing yet hesitant to partake in outdoor activities because of some physical limitation. We believe there are able-bodied sportsmen and women who would contribute time, accessible land, or use of their boat or ATV for one or two days a season to make an outing possible for another. And, we believe other people have the means to donate tax-deductible funds, services, and equipment for this purpose and would do so primarily for their own personal satisfaction.

If you see yourself as one of these people, please contact me at wheelinsportsmen_rochester_ny@yahoo.com for any questions you may have regarding your involvement.

I am posting this appeal in this forum and on some other sites to which I subscribe. Thank you for tolerating this message. I know if it were you with a physical limitation, you would really want someone to ask, “would you like to get out there for a bit?”
