Are pibald illegal to shoot in IL? I've been told that "white" deer are from all my IL buddies. Just wondering if this would be considered pibald and not even legal to shoot?
That sure would suck if it's the case. I have some nice video of a pure white monster from Southern IL. Nice to look at but have been told many times that's a big no-no down there. Either case, you can tell that's one old deer.

They are illegal to shoot in Illinois. From the ILL DNR website:
"Totally white white-tail deer are protected by Illinois law and areillegal to kill."

After looking at the pics again of the deer, you certainly couldn't call this deer 'totally white' now, could you?;) I'd set a peep sight or cross hairs on him fer sure! I also spose though that if you got a DNR officer that was black and white color-blind, you're screwed!:D

"Totally white" means albino. I have yet to see a pibald deer that was totally white, but maybe somebody has. Now, there is a difference between pibald and albino. You can bet I would be shooting that 12 point if that is how the law is worded. Then, if a DNR agent does have a problem with it, it would end up going to Court. If the Judge had a problem with it, it would end up getting appealled. If the appealate Court had a problem with it, I'd be SOL.
