Misbegotten Holidays

Work is shut down, gotta get the SnoBlower out later. Other than snow removal and reloading, any one got any suggestions
to prevent cabin feaver?LOL

will stay home, I got it handeled!

OK....done
1. Jesse and FEMA did not show up
2. We got no trailers or FEMA cards
3. Neighborhood banded together with snoblowers n shovels
4,Lil ole lady across street contributed a couple of gallons of hot buttered rum
5.In 4 hours, neighborhood was mostly cleared.
6. Will convert the snow to water.
All this without federal help and guidance.

I must say, I'm impressed. You guys have got about 4 feet of snow, right? I've got relatives who also live in the Littleton area of Denver. Don't get too bored on us!

It seems as though Mother Nature is giving us a couple of tough years.

Great job Dan. It is nice to see neighbors caring for one another. There is very little of that done nowadays.

Me, I'm in Florida right now visiting my in-laws, and it is 80 degrees down here right now. I was eating lunch outside with a t-shirt on. Something tells me that I am in for a rude awakening when I get back to Maryland.

Doubt it Fabs! It's raining here this morning in NW PA with a high of 48. There always seemed to be a 10-20 degree difference between my home in PA and my home in Maryland. You'll probably come home to 50-60 degree weather.

I'm ready for some snow for the upcoming flintlock season. This rains sure doesn't help the ol smokepoles at all!

I suppose you could have a contest and see who can make the largest pile of snow on your street? Then Take your shovel on your 30' wall of snow and write "Visit Huntchat.com Today!" so passing traffic can see

Rudy, we only had bout 2 1/2 feet at my place. That's not a lot
for some parts of the country........I've had a lot more than this! It's still a pain in the butt....or back.LOL. I'm still off till Tuesday...

We ended up with 20" officially of powder, drifts to 5' so it kind of depended on location. My patio set disappearred. The 20" of snow equalled 2" of rain, so as long as you shoveled early it wasn't to bad to deal with. Just got to love the up slope storms, clean streets in the morning 3' drifts in the evening.

No longer dreaming of a white Christmas:D !

Mil, four of us started this project about 10 yesturday......it was still kinda fluffy.Mid afternoon, the bottom layer was getting mushy n heavy!Snoblowers were not handeling the slush so we switched to shovels. I've often wondered about "official amounts",
I'm more interested in where I'm standing! A lot trying to dig the ice this morning......bright sunshine......a couple of us are still nursing the buttered rum heads....

Here on the other side of the Rockies, we got zip zero nada.

But it is snowing today, with this new set of storms moving in. We're not predicted to get much today, but tomorrow's storm might be bigger.

Haven't had to run the snowblower yet this year; everything has melted pretty quick after falling. Had about four inches of it on the grass once, but hardly an inch on the driveway. Maybe buying a new snowblower is the magic hex to keep snow away, huh?

I really think it is a response to that Sexiest Man contest....while we entered, it is Fabs what is in with the Snow Gods......laying in the sun while the rest of us shovel!LOL
