Hey guys it is about time for me to make another batch of stringmaker's wax for the house, and I can't find a place to get rosin for a good price. Even the music supplies have lost their minds with the prices out there.
Anybody got a source?
Thanks

Probably not a cheap source, but Brownells sells it. Or used to- it was used to keep barrels from slipping in barrel wrenches.

Yeah a little steep, however it gives me another idea for sources to look. Appreciate it buddy. It is still better than $5.99 a ounce like most of the music places want.
Thanks

McMaster-Carr has it for $31.80 for a 12-oz. bottle, only $2.65 per ounce.

Yeah but when I make stringmakers wax I make enough extra to sell off so it is worth my while. IE I need around a full pound of rosin.
I am thinking about just buying a rosin bag from a sporting goods store and cutting it open. It IS still rock rosin after all.

wholesale rosin
I'm told it's also used in bulk by shipyards (have no reason what they use it for LOL !)
I'm waiting for a former E.I. DuPont coworker to get back with me about other sources.
