Do any of you have any experience with the computer based reloading prorams? Can't make up my mind over NECO, RCBS Load or Load from a Disk.
Any information would be welcome, pro's and cons of one program over the other etc.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Best wishes, Bill

I thought you were asking about balistic and drop programs initially. I don't have enough loads that require that kind of computer power.
For field conditions and live data shooting long range, I do use Exbal balistic program loaded on my Dell Axim handheld (pocket PC). I have all the long gun loads (and short guns) pre-programmed including my handload data. I simply type in today's current temperature, wind, elevation and my drop chart comes out perfect, or close enough for my purposes. It's a lot better than practicing in 90 degree weather during the summer and wondering what that 15 degree winter weather is going to do to your bullet as those long ranges seeing as how there's a 75 degree difference. And oh yes, that is a factor!
Anyhow, my Exbal can be purchased for the handhelds and PC's. You can put all your hand load information in each file for safe keeping.

Billy, I reviewed RCBS and LFD, both both are changed a lot since then. LFD just put our Version 5.0 for Windows. Quickload and LFD are probably the most used. QL does more and has some great features, but is also about twice as much as LFD to purchase.
I've been a very happy Load From a Disk user for years. You can play with it for free at their website www.loadammo.com

Thank you.
I'm going to find a load for that 6,68s AI and I don't care if I have to go to Los Alamos or the H.P. White laboratory and grab somebody by the shorthairs. I thought installing gunpods upside down in an aircraft was a PITA. That was a piece of cake.
This is the most frustrating pjoject I've ever worked on. I'd like to take that rifle and stick it where the sun don't shine if I ever seen the guy that sold it to me again. I am going to make one modification to the rifle though. I am going to install the tallest front sight I can find. GRRRRRRRR. ARRRRRRRGH.
