Kinda dissapointed. Got this for my birthday and guess what? No .218 Bee and no .35 Remington info, among others. Guess if it doesn't have "magnum" in the name it's not worthy.
Also noticed that we really don't have many .30 caliber magnums. I'm glad the gun companies are spending so much r&d money coming up with cartridges to do pretty much what existing rounds do.

I know what you mean about less than magnum calibers being not worth printing.
Apparently deer, elk and other animals have gotten so tough from being shot by 30-30's .308's .270's and 30-06s that we all need a magnum rifle to now effectively hunt them.

I find that Hornady does the best job of keeping less popular cartridges in their reloading manual. You might also try buying some older reloading manuals, like Lyman. Just remember that older reloading data tends to be hotter than today as they didnt have the high tech equipment back then like they do today to test chamberr pressure. Yes lawyers have something to do about it also. Take care.

The 218 Bee has been dead for a half century. Also the .35 Rem is not loaded all that much.
That Nosler #5 is old. The new one will be out this summer.

Mike, the funny thing is that I get more email asking about the .218 Bee than any other cartridge I've written about. Second place goes to the .256 Win Mag and third to the 7-30 Waters.
There's a surprising amount of interest in the old cartridges, and as one of the few sources of information on them, all those seekers find me.

Are you saying that you are an "OL' GUY" with his mind stuck in the past?? Oh, I get it...with age comes wisdom(usually huh?):D :D I like the older cartridges too and have so much older reloading manuals that quite a few of the powders listed...are no longer made! Although I may have them anyway:D

skeet, I'd compare my powder locker with anybody's as to obsolete powders.
Off the top of my head, I have at least one can each of:
Alcan AL-5, AL-7, AL-8 and AL-120
WW 230P, 630 and 680
Herters 102
Hodgdon 870
Reloder 12
Brigadier 4197, 3032, 4065 and 4351.
There may be others tucked in the back row...

Sierra edition 5 has both the Bee plus the .35 Rem.

Lots of data for both cartridges here.

Alliant doesn`t have the Bee covered on its web site but does have data for the 35 Rem. I suspect you call or E-mail any of the powder or bullet manufacures and they can offer data useing their products in each of these cartridges.
