My brother bought 5 cases of the thin mints last year, and I still have the case he gave me in the fridge. Barely even put a dent in them.

Oh, how well I remember those days. I sold many a box of Girl Scout cookies when I was young. Hated every minute of it too. Still, it paid for a lot of the fun stuff I got to do when I was a Girl Scout, so I guess it was worth it.

Haven't seen the Cookie Mafia here yet. Although I think different councils and states sell at different times of the year. Might not be our time yet.

My wife and I have 10 boxes of thin mints on order. We keep them in the freezer an nibble on them all year long.

Thin Mints are best right out of the freezer.

With the emphasis on honesty you have to wonder why they didn't call them "Fat Mints", for the results....but I guess that would have probably cut into sales ;)

PS; personally I can resist anything but Samoas!

Thin mints straight out of the freezer and into a blender with vanilla ice cream, whole milk, chocolate syrup and one egg. Makes the second best milk shake in the world.

Niteowl,

I usually get hit up for several boxes too. Because I was a Girl Scout I always feel obligated to buy.

Tennessee Elkman,

That does sound like a great milkshake. I have to agree with BillyD though and say it is probably not low calorie. We're looking at some serious time on the treadmill here.

I just bought ten boxes but wasnt allowed to pick which ones. I didnt mind though- the gs troop is sending them to soldiers in Iraq.

That's a really good idea. I usually buy a bunch of boxes and I certainly don't need to eat them. Sending the cookies to the troops would solve that problem.

^Just don't do like my sister and try to can your favorite chinese food from the restaurant down the street to send to Iraq. You can imagine the results when the jars didn't seal properly and it got to sit out in 130 degree heat for a week. :D

Would you like some help with that? I honestly don't mind. :)

No one has hit us up yet this year. I can't wait for those thin mints and little coconut caramel dealios. *drool*

I thought it was pretty cool. You buy and the Girl Scouts ship them

Yeah, that is a good idea. You get to support a good organization that helps a lot of young girls and you get to support our troops.

Definitely have to find out if that is happening here. I need to find my cookie connection as well.
