The VA finally gave me a reevaluation, and they are really being stingy, as usual. But this one specific section really pi- -ed me off.
I've been nagging the VA for 15 years now, and I got this. But after my stuff arrived in the mail, I read in the paper how they are screrwing the newest veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan......I swear it (mine) says exactly this:
"We determined the following condition was not related to your military service, so service connection couldn't be granted:
Gulf War Syndrome:eek: " (well I put the eek in).
So they think I got it, but not from being in the Gulf War?
The interesting thing is they broke down the complaints indivudaly, the headaches, sleep disorders, depression and painful joints. And not as a whole like I wrote the gripe.
But I read in the Stars and Stripes, the SAME DAY I got my VA packett, that lawyers for soldiers are sueing the VA (well trying to) because a classified directive is informing doctors and medical boards NOT TO GRANT PAST 20%. They use the WalMart Greeter standard! If they can work as a WalMart greeter, they get 0%
All the p- - -ks in the VA have GS-7 and higher, for the US Government, that is some pretty good money. I as a WG-4 get $14.00 an hour, I only average between 20 and 30 hours a week, but the office pukes are getting way more pay and 40 hours, and have safe and seemingly easy jobs. I shudder thinking they won't throw a few well deserved crumbs (if not whole loaves) to the newer young disabled vets.
I am going to stop typing now, because I am getting worked up....I don't want money, I want a re-education option. I would like to get training where I don't have to lift, squat and bend for hours on end, and sit on my fat butt earning a living..........maybe I'll apply for the VA:mad:
