Hey you guys.
We ain't supposed to be having this kinda weather now.
It ain't supposed to be in the low 20s. Thats supposed to be Dakota and Wyoming weather.
Cmon take it back.
The wife and I took an afternoon ride saturday over to the Des Moines river at Bonaparte to see if the paddlefish were really on the move. Sure enough there were several fishermen in their insulated Carharts trying to snag some fish. There were several filleted carcuses of some pretty good sized paddlefish laying around and also a few buffalo. One camper trailer had a good sized campfire to warm up by.
The temp saturday was probably near 50. We checked out a couple of antique stores and then took the back road home.
Several places along the river pu trucks parked where you'd suspect mushroom hunters lurked but it was way too cold now for that. Temps have hit below freezing several days so they must have been fishing too. We even saw where someone had pitched a tent.
I guess I'm just gettin old but it didn't hurt my feelings at all climbing back into a warm pickup for the ride home.

Supposed to be a chance of snow tuesday and wednesday.
temp tonight is supposed to be low 20s.

Them mushrooms will just have to snuggle back under those leaves for another few weeks.

best of luck

Nice to hear the weather report from the banana belt. Quiturbitchin, it's been in the single digits the last three nights. We are supposed to warm up into the 30"s tomorrow. WHEEEEEEEE. Think I'll go skinny dippin'.

Just had 6" of snow today another 2>4 coming. At least it's fairly warm, in the 20's.

I'd sure like a personal interview with that moron that talks the global warming game. I'd kick his butt up underneath his shoulder blades. On second thought that wouldn't work, with an a$$ that wide there wouldn't be enough shoulders.

Best wishes, Bill

We had over ten inches in that storm last week, with four to five foot drifts, but we've had pretty decent weather since then and everything is melting so we have mud everywhere. I would rather have rain, but I guess we need to be thankful for any moisture we get, especially with all the global warming.:D
The son and I are headed to North central South Dakota on Saturday to pick up another dog, so we're hoping it stays nice for our trip.

I heard on the local news yesterday morning that 10 years ago we had a foot of new snow on the ground. Next day we got another 6".
Chance of light snow today.
I guess I shouldn't be complaining.
the best to ya

Well, depending on how you look at it, you could either like it or leave it, or have it worse!! Another round is working it's way through the Yooper (Upper Peninsula, Michigan) also. Lake Effect regions are known for a lot of snow in winter, but these are very interesting storm totals for APRIL!! Waidmannsheil, Dom.

Well I guess the drought is over.
Temps in the 60 -80s days.
Rivers are up and staying that way.
Fishing stinks.
You can only see the top of the boatramp I usually use. Rains nearly everyday it seems.
Oh well last year I was hopeing for this stuff. Not enough water to run the boat. Now I haven't even had it out. Still gotta do the preliminary stuff like making sure it will start.

Watched some guys jagging for carp. Funny, the guy that was working hardest at it was doing pretty good. Don't see where he got all that energy.
Maybe cause he was 35 years younger than I. :D

There is a perp to drought weather. Not as much yard work ;)

best of luck to ya
