:runaway:
Dont have alot of money(Hence why I am in the doghouse with the wifey!!), but have been promising my daughter a very special birthday gift for over a year now...so I finally broke down and forked over the cash to get it!!!
She is 7 years old and loves shooting.....so it was time to get her a rifle to call her own!! Went with the Henry mini .22 rifle. As you can see by the smile on her face it was well worth the wife getting cranky at me!!!

Judging from that proud and happy look on her face, she'll still have that rifle 50 years from now.
Looking at the length of her arms it looks like a near perfect fit.
Buy the way, is that your first trip to "the dog house"? I'd say the little one is worth it.
Best wishes, Bill

Im thinking that in about 4 or 5 years she will outgrow that nice little plinker and graduate to a tricked out 10/22 :D:D
But that will be just in time to hand it down to her little brother who is only 17 months old right now :)
Oh, and I am almost always in the doghouse.....darn Ebay....got a few hundred bucks worth of blackhawk tac gear....and came home with a shiny new(In a matte black sorta way)Remmy 870 Express 18" :D:D
Got 2 weeks in the doghouse for that one!! hehehe
And it is always worth it!!!

I am glad to finally see that look on her face!
I might just might have to take a trip down your way just to go shooting with you 2!

She looks very pleased with her present. I think it's great that you're encouraging her interest.

I can't wait to buy my little girl her first gun and bicycle. Somehow, I don't think mommy will let me get her the gun before the bicycle, but she can always aim and pull the trigger on dad's pellet gun as dad holds the gun up. That is how my dad got us into shooting when we were 3 or 4 years old.
I hope your daughter has a blast with the 22. I know we did as kids.

Got out shooting! She is not bad for a beginner, but we havent had any real quality range time yet....need to focus on stance, breathing control, and aiming :)

Even the little guy got in on the action, picking up a few of the casualties to be recycled as cat and dog food :D

Great looking kids Captain!
Your pictures remind me of when my kids were that young! :D
My oldest just graduated High School this past june...
and will be going to collage this fall....My youngest only
has 2 more years, and will be following right behind here sister.....
What I'm saying is, Treasure your time with your kids, enjoy
it, live it up! The do grow up before you know it!
Just one other thing I noticed.....I'm not so sure that I'd be
letting your boy handle the dead (they look like) Prairie Dogs.
Down this way (In the plain states) they are known to have
fleas, ticks, Etc. and carry many nasty types of
diseases...including the bubonic plague!
Shoot the little vermin, but don't play with them.
(Disclaimer) I am assuming (even though one should never
assume) that the P-dogs (or whatever) up in Canada carry the
same things that the ones down here do.
Keep up the great work, Dad! :D

Tall Shadow. Doggone it boy, you beat me to the draw on that one.:D Down in my neck of the woods, we not only have to be alert to Bubonic Plague but a nasty little bugger called Hantavirus.
Stuff mimics a cold or a mild case of the flu and can be fatal. Rough on young kids and older folks like me.

As long as they're cooked at least medium-well, there's no problem :D
