One month, anyone have any great plans? I've got a small place about 30 miles east of Denver the guy lets me go on.
Dam thankful to have that!Slob hunters have made it nearly impossible to find places....usually good for a couple of weeks then a cool front pushes em south!

Dan

Plenty of public land here to hunt them on, the Dove restraunts are many, good feeding grounds and plenty of water sources. I hunt in the Lake Sakakawea area.

Thats where I bow hunt Deer also, so that makes it convienient. The only problem is when I take the Dog dove hunting he doesn't understand he can't go deer hunting and sits in the camper and howls. It's the most pathetic thing you ever heard.

Being that I don't own any oil reserves I usually camp for a week at a time. I can carry enough purified water for cooking etc. and I can use lake water for dishes pots and pans and personal washing. For the dishes I have to heat it anyway. I don't enjoy diarrhea when camping.

I can drive a few minutes from the area and get ice and supplies when I need them and shoot the breeze at the bar/gas station/eatery etc.

Have a good hunt , Bill

I have a wheat field that I am hoping to hunt. The owner of the field just died today at the age of 95, but I still get along with his daughter and son in-law, so I am hoping that I will still get to hunt there.

Yep we have a few fields that I have access to that I can get a few birds on. They used to be covered in dove and quail, but at least the dove are still there.

GoodOlBoy - Still ticked off at having to buy a dove and quail stamp now
