this year down in my corner of the state, archery for doe starts up mid september. my first application had to go to a county which sells out fast so for my second round i will be after these special reg tags for early archery, however, i have a bad feeling i will miss this early season, i cant send until the end of august for the tags and this new yellow envelope process takes for ever, i dont normally get my tags until the last days before october, i hope they will step it up otherwise i will have no choice but to continue to exterminate golf course geese all of september , any body else in my boat for this early season?

Not much of a stick and bow man, so I don't worry about gettin my tags on time.

But I feel for ya.

Hopefully the PGC knuckleheads can get this worked out.......doubt it......

knuckleheads indeed,
so i come to find out that there is a way for me to get my doe tags on time to find out all i had to be was psychic! here they let a press release out a few weeks ago that said if you were after WMU 5C doe tags for this early archery all you had to do was write in red ink above the WMU box on the envelope "early archery"
best part about this story is all my buddies had the same concerns and sent similar emails before me, do you think any of them would give me the 411
i really think the pgc makes this up as they go through the season

so just to say after a contact with the game commission my 3 tags for 5c are here, so all through this early goose season i have watched a line of doe every morn cut the same corner of this guys yard and then dip into a river bottom. last time out i saw 8. well this morn i went for that spot and like clockwork here come the deer but they took a different angle, an angle where i had no shooting lanes ( i was standing 2 rows deep in corn) and they came behind me well as i waited half crouched down for the first of the 3 that were coming, one appeared at arms length right on the edge of the corn. a 7ptr, the next 2 behind him were a 6 and a spike. the 7 still in velvet. he stood 4 ft from me for ten minutes, i couldnt hold my stance any more and when i lowered the bow he hauled out to the open and snorted for 5 minutes straight..... until a huge 8 walked out 10 yds away and all the deer booked. great day of doe hunting. by regular season the corn will be gone and with it my buck
