For most of us, the opening day of dove season is September 1st, only nine days away.
1. Which shotgun will you use on opening day?
2. Will you shoot a round of skeet, trap, or sporting clays as practice before opening day?
JERRY
Hello Jerry, I'll be using my Browning Citori o/u 12 guage. Got a project going on a Win 101 20 ga o/u but it's not done yet.
As far as a round of practice, I do that weekly from spring thru fall, a few thousand rounds worth. I really enjoy shooting shotgun, whether it's at clays, doves, waterfowl or upland game!!
Good luck on the opener, Waidmannsheil, Dom.

Don't shoot as much shotgun as I once did, I'll be out with my 870.

H&R 20 gauge single shot shotgun with a modified choke.
2 3/4" 7/8ths ounce #6s.
I woud like to get about 90 rounds of trap in before opening day. Probably won't get one though you know how that goes.
Gonna be a whole lot of fun.

A bunch of go down to Indiana for the first two days of their season. On the opener I'll use my SKB 12g o/u, and the second day I'll either stick with that or use a Beretta 390 in 20 gauge.
I usually start skeet shooting in the spring, but this year I haven't had time. I'll probablly go this week, though.

I'll be using a 20 Ga. Franchi Falconette. I also have 28 Ga. inserts for it. It's a sweetie pie to handle, swings beautiful, and fast handling.
I don't know how much hunting I'm gonna do this year. My Grandaughter is in Hospice care for Cancer and I'm having a very difficult time concentrating on anything at present. In between trips to Minnesota I'm just jumping through my backside. I don't do dying and death very well.
Hope y'all do well.
Best wishes, Bill

Billy,
I am sorry to hear about your grand daughter. Death always sucks, but I like to think that the good people will be going to a much better place than this world.
