Yeah, I'm venting once more, but here is my gripe:

If you do not check every box with the governments web page, willing to work all aspects; full-time part time tempoary and the rest, the computer will automaticly reject your applications.

When you apply for a full time-job, and they call and offer tempoary or part time job, although it was listed as full time, you bring up the fact you applied for full time, you are told "Well you put that you are willing to work part time!" And if you turn down the job you go to the bottom of ALL CANDIATE listings. I think that is a very unfair thing to do.

And dependents are being chosen over ALL PERSONS in USAREUR, even veterans with preferance. I applied for truck driver for postal work here, and they gave the job to a 19 year old dependent with a plain Class 3 drivers lisc.(I know her, good girl, but not the point). The job description called for a Class 2 (which I have), but she was listed as "Better Qualified" and I think this is dirty poo..................:(

And the fact the applications are picked by a computer first, before human eyes see the resume. I applied for a materials shipper job, and I had in my resume, that I had experance with International Export of hazerdous materals, they wanted (I found out after the selection process) the wording, 'shipping of haz-mat on a world wide basis'...........WHAT IS THE DANGED-DIDDLY-ANG difference?

Thanks for letting me vent.............once more..................and let me know if I am just being a crybaby................JON

When I worked for the Post Office, I got bypassed more than once for cushier jobs. When I came up for a supervisor's position, I got bumped because the NASACP said there were not enough blacks in positions of authority. That was the day I walked into the office and told them to take the job and shove. Believe me. I know why some postal workers "go postal". Gads! That was way back in 1967 and I still get mad as hell when I think about it.

Paul

you just made me think of something. Who was the guy, I think it was during the Regan administration that got chewed out for something not done and he replied, "I got a woman, a black, a Mexican and a cripple working for me, what more do you want". He was asked not to report for work the following Monday.
