Wolves in the Laramie Range near Casper, WY

Last week, my son who works in mine reclimation and reclaiming the Pathfinder uranium mine in Wyomings Shirley Basin, told me he saw 3 wolves pull down & begin eating an elk calf just off Cold Springs rd SW of Douglas. USFS said "impossible", "there are no wolves in the Laramie range".

They are,...... (as usual) LIARS!!!!!!!!

Shoot the devils. In the Game and fish people's eyes they muct be very large coyotes and are fair game. Get it in writing too that there ain't any wolves there

Yes, Two weeks ago there was a Hereford cow killing investigated on the Sweetwater River between Casper and Jeffrey City. It was a wolf killing. They start moving this time of year, establishing new territories.

Group filed suit in Fed Court in Denver today......agains the NPS
because they are NOT going to use the W word in RMNP to thin
elk!People are interesting....not as interesing as this is gonna get when the ones that are here expand!

Grayghost, Keep your eye on the national news this Friday. That is when wolves are to be delisted and we will see what happens after that. Lawsuits are a given.

We had the same problems here with Mountain Lions. Our Fish and Game in their infinite wisdom said all the reports that came to F&G were erroneous. Dead cattle, sheep etc. had no bearing on F&G decision. That was about 2000, Five years ago they started a season on them.

F&G put a limit on Lions at 5 per season. In the last 4 years 20 Lions have been harvested. And theres still plenty out there according to reports from farmers and hunters of other game.

Sometimes I'm lead to believe that F&G Depts. don't know their butt from their elbow.

Billy D. The WGFD has been known to make the same kind of decisions. Red Rim is a good antelope wintering area since they are not affected by the lichen, but who knew the elk would die like flies if they ate the lichen.

I just read on a website that four have already been killed since the delisting. If they are outside of the trophy area they can be shot as predators. I guess, that's how I read it anyway. The only problem with that is the trophy area is huge.
