Nice collections Jonesy.
Here's a bull I took in 2003, since then I've seen bigger and taken smaller.

You're a lucky man, here in south dakota it's on a lottery. I have 12 years preference and have yet to draw an elk tag. It's hell to be out deer hunting or hiking and see massive bulls pushing 400 class, all I can do is drool and suffer. Maybe this is my year!

Not nearly as big as the bull you took M.T., but big for my backyard.
Africa, big land, big Gamsbock :) . . . Waidmannsheil, Dom.

jp, I was in Namibia in 2006 and I'll be headed back again later this year. On that hunt it was for plains game, I shot Zebra, Kudu, Hartebeest, Warthog, Impala, Springbock, Baboon and Jackal. All animals were taken with a Steyr Mannlicher Safari, .375 H&H Magnum, scoped with a Docter Optic 1.5-6x42, all reloads, using Barnes TSX 270 grainers at 2575 fps.
I'll take a Blaser R93 with .243 and .300 Win Mag barrels this time, looking forward to it. This time Swift A Frame 200 grainers get the call, I've got a decent load that pushes them out at 2850 fps. Will do some culling on Springbock with the .243. Have you been or have plans to go? It is quite the experience. Wasn't sure I'd make it back for a second trip but you never know. Dom.
