Here in PA, the coming of cooler weather makes for easier concealed carry. I wear sleeveless vests most days and a light jacket on cooler days; both help cover the carry gun which many states REQUIRE to be covered.
Our CCW permit licenses the act of carrying, so when the snows begin to threaten and fall, the .41 Single Action will get a few trips to town . What could be better than that?

I usually carry my 1911 in .38 Super or my double stacked CZ75 in the cooler months for the reasons you stated: coats, sweatshirts, bulkier clothing, ect. Summer usually has me packing a .380 or 2" Detective special.
really the only change i make is going from a sob or iwb on the hip to an owb on the hip. i like vest for ccw. however some body on another site started a thread about how much a vest can scream "concealed weapon". i dont think it crosses most american minds, although i passed a guy walking his dog this fall in a vest and when he bent down to pick up after his k9 sure enough a holster stuck out on his side.
i also like that winter allows more pockets for carrying
