Hi All,
Have a couple of questions and would be interested in any help and experience with for one the newish .300WSM cartridge. I have now experience with it at all but have been approached by a friend about it so started looking about and have found for one thing that factory ammuntion for it is quite a small selection namely in most cases one bullet weight the 180 grain however Federal for one list three weights, 150 Grn, 165 Grn and 180 grn. Now he wants the rifle and cartridge with Driven Boar in mind so a 200 Grn or 220 Grn load would be good.
One thing I seem to recall reading about the WSM's was that certain rifles had feeding problems, is this a fact and is it still true?
He is looking at the Tikka T3 and Sako 75/85 as he already has a Tikka T3 tactical and Sako Finnlite both in .308 Winchester but this time he wants to get a Hunter with wood stock after having the synthetic I think he has realised how pleasent wood is to hold .;) Anyway any information on the .300 WSM in any of rifles mentione would be most helpful.
