I wondered why i could not even order a blued 1894 44 mag new
when i even placed my order in june of last year. I finally got a stainless 1894 44 mag in late october but the fit and finish was rather poor quality and the wood was almost blonde on one side and much darker on the other and i let the gun store sell it to someone else as with the changes in Indiana deer rules the pistol cartridge rifles were in high demand.

Seems like they were just putting together the remaining stock on hand.

That makes remmingington in charge on NEF and marlin plus others lately, will it end some rifles in the line like the model 39 golden?

Hmmm As I understand it Remington is not behind the move but it's the Holding Company which own Remington. I don't think it's good news for anyone intersted in firearms and I expect any assessts to be stripped off leaving a weakened industry :(

I mean just look at Remington themselves  quality dropping, throw aways rifles and the rest made in eastern europe. Actually it's a crime what has happened to a truely great old gunmaker
