Yep, my hunt for a Benelli Cordoba 20ga gun appears to be over. Sent the sheckles off yesterday. Now I await the call from my local dealer. When I get the gun I will run it through the clays course a few times and let you all know how it works.

First though, I must make an extension for the stock of about 5/8 of an inch. My LOP is 15 1/8 and I will also need to work the pitch. I understand the extension will throw the shots low.

Then again perhaps the high comb insert will be the solution. That is if I can ever get to the parts department after the "push 1 for the mens room," etc. Called today, what a goat roping, the parts department is not even on the menu. Benelli & Beretta just never will get the service expectations of Americans squared with the Italian; "What,,,, you want to buy something?" I just hate calling them on the phone. :(

Good luck on the parts search. I tried Numrich gun parts for you real quick since they have almost every part for my SBE, but they had almost nothing for the Cordoba. Let me know how that gun shoots.

By the way, the drop of the stock can be changed just by swapping out shims, so there might be no need for the high comb insert. I think I use the D shim on my SBE which provides the least amount of drop at the comb.

Thanks for the look-see.

Benelli is supposed to offer the comb inserts and additional gel pads as an option. The problem is that no one has them in stock and Benelli does not allow you to order the comb inserts on the net. They are on the "store" site but no price and no order box. When you call, no parts department, so you must speek to customer service where the wait, yesterday, was 15 minutes plus on my nickel. If I ran my businesses like that, I would have no business.

I sure am glad Beretta bought Benelli and they are running Benelli service just like Beretta... no service at all. Trying to deal with Beretta on my 391 needs (3 guns) was like a two week long root canal.

Once I get the comb insert I want, I should not need them again, which is just fine with me.:D

I guess I am lucky because I live pretty close to the plant. They were pretty good with me when I brought in my 682 and 2 Teknys with warranty issues. They replaced the entire 682 with a new one that had nicer wood and they replaced the stock on the Teknys with a new one that was much nicer wood. It took a little complaining a couple of times on the phone, but I ended up getting what I wanted.

I'll actually be down that way next week because I'll be in Court in southern Maryland. If you want, I'll stop by and see if I can pick up the comb insert for you. Can't promise anything, but I'll try if you want me to.

I do appreciate the offer, but will get this one done myself. It just might take a couple of tries.

Sounds good. I read the other thread about the length of pull adjustment plate, and that sounds like it is right up your alley.
