As most of you know I went thru a little concealed carry issue. One of the prerquisites from the state is I go and get my CWP. I am in Florida, I did all that was requested of me and put it in the mail almost 4 weeks ago. It mentioned that if you had digitized finger-prints you were looking at a 2+3 week wait. The tradidtional ink was up to 90 days...I drove to Palm Beach to get digitized, I am nervous, I need reassurance and sweet talk, do you think I will have a problem or delay due to the charges in December???

Sure you will have problems. ,,,,AND ???? Whats new ?
:p
You will have to give them some sweet talk so they can feel like they are doing their jobs. Skip the gunpowder smell, go for the purfume , smile, tip your head to the side, giggle .... ;)
You know what to do.
If that doesn't work go for plan B,,,, be a major pain in the ass !:D

Val
Charges don't mean squat, it's convictions where ya get in trouble.
Keep in mind also that Florida is one of the few states that issues Concealed Carry Permits to non-residents.
I can get a Florida permit by having a Backround Check from local police chief and the state investigation. By sending a copy of my service records of the firearms I was qualified on gets me through that part of the test.
As soon as my ND permit expires I'm getting a Florida permit.
Just be patient sweetheart, all good things come to those who wait. Evidentaly the folks who work in that office are doing the job they were hired to do.
Best wishes, Bill

Hang in there kid! After I got my CCW, I find I carry less and less. Took me about a month to get mine. However, mine covers sticking a 45 in the glove box also. I've found out that you tend to avoid situations when you don't have immediate access!!!!When I do carry, I pray to GOD it never has to be used! Those days were another lifetime ago.Colorado has a law that as a resident, I cannot use another state...I gotta have a Colorado
permit...5 years, must be reapplied for if a new Sheriff takes office!

In Nevada we're told up to 4 months for your background check. Mine took a couple of months. Be patient, you'll come out just fine.

in Pa you get an application , fill it out get yor personal references and take the app to your sheriffs office where they issue you a carry permit concealed carry, you don't have to list the firearm either just any, i asked a policeman what can i carry technically he said if you can hide a bazooka under your coat carry it, in some parts of town i can see why

If you have no DUIs, have never been sent to a mental ward by a court, and have no felony convictions you are a shoe-in. Call and see how things are going, go down and check on it and keep them aware that you need to have the permit.
