View Full Version : 218 Bee brass availability?
Does anyone here know who currently has 218 Bee in sock? I have 160 rounds loade, but I like to have more than that on hand. Thanks for any info.

Welcome to HuntChat, Rev.
Winchester has the 218 on their "Special" list. They make a run of it every year or so, but not continually like other cartridges.
The last time I checked, Midway had some, but I can't promise they still do.
Thanks Rocky, I am on the "waiting list" at Midways. I did contact Winchester the other day asking when it would become available. They said production was scheduled for the end of March. I just wonder how long after that it will actually get to the dealers? I just thought someone might know where I could get it now.

Midway, Natchez, and Midsouth all show as being out of stock on 218 Bee brass.
You might check with Sinclair: http://www.sinclairintl.com/index.html
I can't tell for sure from their website whether they have it in stock or not.
As Rocky said, Winchester makes a run of the stuff once a year. In the past, I've found seasonal brass at Sinclair a few times when other suppliers had run out.
Thanks Jack, I had not thought of Sinclair. I did just now place an order with them with a note to cancel the order if out of stock, so I guess we'll see what happens. Thanks again for the heads up.

Grafs is also a good source if you strike out at Sinclair.
I know several sources for REALLY hard to find brass, even pre-formed wildcats. But you do pay for those big time.
If Winchester is making a run within weeks, I think I'd just wait or place a backorder request.

Wish I had known this. I ffound 500 rounds yesterday at the gun show i was doing. Not habing enough need for more than a hundred(only have a contender bbl in 218)..I didn't bother to pick any up. It was priced at 15 bucks a hundred. Some gun shows are good places to get brass... Some aren't.
I used to get brass at the Houston gun shows all the time, but haven't been to one in a few years. Those shows are huge and take a fair amount of walking just to get down all the aisles here in Houston (at least 4 hours). If I don't see any 218 Bee brass in a month or so on line, I'll start checking to see when the next gun show is scheduled for Houston. Another good idea, thanks for jogging my memory.
