Ahhh what a wonderful world it is when your dog has a fine bowel movement...Grits is looking beautiful, he lost a total of 15 lbs....but he has gained most back...he goes to the vet tomorrow and will be weighed again. His ideal weight is about 57 lbs...Huck is 73lbs and the lab is 87lbs...he is finally standing up on his paws the way he should...hell he is even talkin in the morning and being our alarm clock...like he use to .....life is good.....

Glad to hear that. Good news for a change.
What did the vet say he had anyway?
I still can't figure animals out. Some of the disgusting stuff they eat and they don't bat an eye, yet they pick up one little germie and it decimates them.
Sure glad he beat whatever he had.
Best wishes, Bill

Good news indeed Val. Have you been able to get him out for exercise yet or is he still pretty weak?

I havent had him hunting this year. In fact I have a real fear of working his heart too hard. I would like to get him checked, after all I have gone thru to get him in the field and have him drop on me, would be horrible. But he looks good, he's inquisitive walks and moves like his old self, back talking every morning...we call him our "back from the dead" dog. Thanks again for all of your prayers, they must have worked...
