This was Amber and Molly at 8 weeks old (two weeks ago) when we got them.

3/4 dachshund, 1/4 fox terrier.

Both females. Both trouble :D

Oh by the way you see them sitting? They learned sitting by watching Tanner within 24 hours of us having the smart little buggers. The down side is they are toooo smart they can get into stuff and chew it up faster than you can hide it.

Cute puppies. Having a smart dog sucks in the beginning, but it is good after they get over that puppy phase. Kind of like my smart one year old daughter. She knows how to get into everything and just figured out yesterday how to flush the toilet, but she also understands what I am saying and when she is in trouble. I'm hoping that will pay off later in college and her career. It will make my life easier, as does having a smart dog right now in Nitro. He is about to turn 5, and his being smart is a good thing because he knows when he does something I don't like and he makes sure he doesn't do it again.

Looking forward to updates on Amber and Molly.

By the way, I want another dog, but that isn't going to happen until we get a bigger house with a yard.

Molly is begining to terroize our rooster. Tanner growls at her trying to get her to stop chasing the chickens, but that little black and tan rocket is hard to catch let me tell you. She also has this habbit of bouncing/jumping when she wants attetion. Amber is about too fat to jump much. At 8 weeks old Molly was 2.7 pounds and Amber was 4.9 pounds. I think they have almost doubled in size already but I could be mistaken. They are do for vet visit #2 (#1 was the day we bought them we took them and got them shots, flee treatment, deworming etc) is due in about 3 weeks so I guess we will see then. They are both very vocal puppies when they want to be. If the food bowl is empty and they are hungry they sit by the back sliding glass doors at mommas house and howl in sync. They are currently living locked up on the back pourch but we take them out a couple times a day to play in the yard.
