My thanx to all the courageous souls who took part.
All gave some, some gave ALL.
My prayers and thoughts.
I'm going to borrow Rockys tag line here because I think it makes the true point.
As I remember it: Lots of us wear Medals and Ribbons on our chests, but true Heroes are draped in the whole flag.
Hope I did it justice Rocky.
Best wishes, Bill

Dittos!
I took a vacation day today and will be attending what is billed as the largest WWII reenactment in the nation: http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html
This page has the Veterans that will be appearing: http://www.maam.org/wwii/ww2_guests.htm
I try to go every year. Its a good way to rub elbows with and learn more about the ordinary folks who wre called to do extraordinary things.

my uncle was in the normandy invasion. he operated an amphibious tractor.
he would not speak of it until just recently; only for a few months before he died. all these years he kept it inside.
