Check the parts of other Savage shotguns. If I remember correctly they had other guns with the same extractors...or ones that could be adapted.

Greetings from a new user of the fastest growing network on the Internet.
I also need the right extractor, only I need it for the Savage Model 69 series E. Which is the Law Enforcement version of the model 67 series E.
I downloaded a schematic drawing of the Savage model 67. On the drawing, it says that it is for the "Savage model 60, Stevens model 77, and Springfield model 67 pump shotguns."
The drawing is definitely for my model 69, regardless of the title, or else a weapon VERY similar in every way. SO these are the models that we might check for the part. Regarding the extractors, and everything else actually, the Savage models 30, 67 and 69, Stevens model 77, and Springfield model 67 are all IDENTICAL. I am not familiar with Remington or Mossberg guns, but I'll bet that the extractor from a Winchester model 12 could be modified to work. And also the Extractor Spring and Extractor Spring Plunger from the Winchester model 12.
It would be better than trying to make the part from scratch, which I have been considering for more than 25 years. That's how long this gun has been broken. I dug this old model 69 out of the shed today. It was in pretty bad shape, all rusty and full of cobwebs. But with a coupla hours of experimental disassembly, steel wool and Liquid Wrench, it looks pretty good now, inside and out. Good enough to put back into service.
What does the extractor look like from a Mossberg? I also need the extractor plunger and the spring for the right side.

Hey, thanks Larry. Their catalog isn't online, but there are a few sources to find the part numbers. Including calling and talking with their staff there at Jack's. And I still haven't finished researching the similarities among the guns mentioned above. But here is the URL for Jack's.

I'll be checking this out further. One of the suppliers has got to have the parts from one of the guns, somehow. Even if it isn't actually the 67 or 69 part numbers.

Well, I guess I'll put off repairing the Savage for another year or two or whatever. Bought a new Mossberg 500 combo-barrell. Rather similar to the Savage, but better quality and lighter.
