New toy!

Just got a Ted Williams Model 100 30-30Win Sears Roebuck & Co levergun from an old boy who needed a little work done. Other than some spot rust on the reciever and lever that have taken some of the blueing off this guns barrel and everything else look like they just came out of the box. There isn't even any burnt powder inside the reciever, and inked inspection stamps (thank you number 62) on the inside parts have not had enough movement to wear them off!

Is that Ted William's (Sears) .30/30 a Marlin or Winchester make for Sears?

If I remember correctly it is a marlin restamped for sears.

nope winchester. Thats what surprised me. All the others I have seen that were sears WERE marlin. *grin*

I presume that is based on a pre 64?????????not sure when Sears got out of the Winchester business.....

All of the Sears 30-30 levers i have seen were post 64 guns. They looked just a little different than a reg 94 ...mostly in the forend arrangement. Usually a good shooter with a fairly hard trigger but every one I messed with shot pretty good. Luck with that gun GOB:D
