Nother Yard Sale find

Was down in Texas buying some stuff to sell and stopped at a yard sale. Bought 3 scopes at the darn thing for 50 bucks. Found an old Tasco 4 power in mounts. Jap scope in mounts that fit my ol Savage 340 30-30.Actually got two of those mounts in the deal. Also got an Old Weaver K-8 scope with very fine crosshairs in pretty good condition and the last of the bunch was an Older Burris Fullfield(not the II) in 3x9 with a post crosshair. In excellent condition but no turret covers. It now sits on my Remington 700 Classic in 257 Roberts. Found a pair of turret covers at a gun show I attended down there while I was traveling. Paid 2 bucks for 'em. Passed buying an ol post 64 Win 70 with a Weaver V2.5x8 scope for 400 bucks at the yard sale...30-06...any other caliber I would have bought it.

You have the best luck at yard sales! Once in a while I'll find ammo tins, antique fishing lures (which I collect, so that's good), and tools. Never scopes, guns, etc.

Part of the reason is that this is Wyoming. Everybody has guns etc. Stuff they don't use goes in yard sales. As far as the scopes..I was in Texas. Only in the state occassionally so don't know what is what down there. The people wanted 80 bucks for all 3 scopes but accepted my offer. In Wyoming you see guns quite often at yard sales. I always ask if they have any kind of shooting items in the yard sale. I even sell a few at yard sales. Always do really good. I just bought a Rem 660 w/leupold 4x at a yard sale. 6mm too. Have at least 4 people that REALLY want it
