He's actually my girlfriend's dog but I think I'm gonna have more fun with him:D
They're half Chocolate Lab and half Silver Lab. I'd never heard of a Silver lab before but I saw Spud's pop and he's beautiful. They both have a little silver showing but Choco's got a little more than Spud.

Sweet dog. A teammate of mine brought his 13 week old yellow lab to today's race. I miss when Nitro was a puppy. Than again, he isn't chewing through electric cords anymore nowadays.

Have a great time with the dog Tater and post more pics.

Tater,
nice lookin pups! bu uh, I aint never heard of a silver lab. Are they really silver? They sound cool actually.
Ya know once time I bred a lemon/white beagle with a warfield red beagle and came out with a smokey grey litter of pups, looked just like them grey cats you see. Never saw it again after that either. God they were perty...weird...but perty lol.

Beautiful dogs! I've had more than a few labs in the past, never heard of a silver lab, something someone else made up along the line, there are only three true lab colors. I think what you're seeing is 'brindling' in color, which isn't correct. Sometimes labs can be bred with other breeds of dogs and the colors come thru but the dogs will STILL look, act and hunt like a lab because of their strong breeding for so many generations.

The Labrador Retriever coat colors are black, yellow and chocolate. Any other color or a combination of colors is a disqualification. A small white spot on the chest is permissible, but not desirable. White hairs from aging or scarring are not to be misinterpreted as brindling. Black--Blacks are all black. A black with brindle markings or a black with tan markings is a disqualification. Yellow--Yellows may range in color from fox-red to light cream, with variations in shading on the ears, back, and underparts of the dog. Chocolate--Chocolates can vary in shade from light to dark chocolate. Chocolate with brindle or tan markings is a disqualification.

That's every true... just imagine what they are gonna start calling the colors on some of these 'designer' dogs!!
