Finally making it back to Oklahoma, in time for the final four states to have their commemorative quarter issued, I was very curious about the Oklahoma quarter. Especially after I posted the gag article I found about the ‘new quarters’ jamming vending machines, the two dimes & nickel taped together.
Before I saw it I had visions of buffaloes, or dream catchers or maybe even a Native American warrior on the hunt…………..but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
We got the scissor tailed fly catcher…woo-bloody-hoo. Ah yeah, I know in New York City, when they think of Oklahoma, I know they think A-Rednecks B-Indians C-Corn or something you can’t grow in Brooklyn on a massive scale, or even the dreaded tornados. I really doubt the state bird sparks visions of Oklahoma.
I’d been happier if we did the tape and coins after all.
