Was in a Wally World in another town today and was looking at the ammo they had on a table. There was a box of 308 Winchester 150 grain Power point that had a $6.00 orange price tag on it. I looked at the box and it had 20 rounds, I asked the clerk and he said, it's old stuff we found so we marked it down. I bought the 308. Seemed like a good buy to me.
I guess they think ammo gets old...

I had heard the wally world stores that still do sell guns put them on clearance right after Christmas....like some black powder rifles for $75 bucks etc etc....I heard this right after I got a traditions 50 in line..for the early season here in W.Pa..I got a nice in line last year and gave it to my kid and her hubby..then had to get me another one this year...I do know this....the traditions, this will be the very last in line rifle of theirs I will buy....even the ramrod isn't long enough to load a round in the thing without an extension...but does shoot nice...guess you have to look for deals in the stores....trader horn store here local....if you look behind items there, you can find hidden deals...and that is a better sports store than and gander mtn, dicks etc...even the women that work at T.Horn enjoy hunting, fishing so they stock everything.....grats on the find for you.

Last year the local wally world clearanced Remmy 45-70 ammo for $11 a box. I didn't buy it because I didn't own a 45-70 at the time. Coulda picked up 3 boxes for that. Now I am kicking myself.
four years ago the local wall-world found an entire case of OOLLLDDD federal 20 gauge #6 red and white boxed shells. They sold me the whole case for $8. Every one of them shot just fine.
