Does it look like this?

Eley .577/.500 No. 2 Black Powder Cartridges

It's a Vintage, collectable. From what I've found, 4 rounds goes for about $160, so you're holding about $40 in your hand fellow

Petey, on second look, mine is not a bottle neck......brass is 68mm long/folded head...bullet appears to be paper patched,
head stamp is .577 Eley London.

Aw schucks.. That drops the price to around $20 a round ;) ha ha.

It's still a collectable.

I think you're looking around the late 1800's (1875'ish) at this particular round. They used to make BP double-guns out of this round.
