Ok, I'm not the sharpest tack in the pack.
What do you mean a peddler delivered it?
Usually Food Poisioning occurs from 3>8 hours after ingestion.
We had an incident with a Hot Ham and Cheese sandwich in Miles City Montana. By the time we got to Dickinson North Dakota 3 out of the 5 of us were praising the throne. We spent almost a day in the rest area on I-94 and it was -30 some °. Thank God for the overhead Camper on the truck.
Make sure you replenish your body fluids after the vomitting and diarrhea. Water only. Most other liquids are diuretic and don't get into the system. You need to retain fluid.
Hope your feeling better quick.
Best wishes, Bill

Very important! Call the County Health Dept if you suspect sickness caused by Food Service.
Back in January I had a late dinner from Carl's Jr. One of their $6 Portabella Mushroom Burgers....(just typing that literally makes me heave!). I bought it over the counter but took it home, 5 minutes away. Within 45 minutes of eating this thing, my stomach started getting real "busy". Within an hour I was on the crapper. In an hour and half it was coming out BOTH ends! This went on every hour from that point all the way till about 8:30 the next morning.
Without a doubt, it was the sickest I have ever been in my life. I was at the point where I was going to have the wife take me to the ER but I hung on and the double-ended expulsions finally subsided. It took 2 days AFTER that to get up and going with life.
I had my wife call the County and report the incident. They said it was most likely Norovirus and that it could actually have an effect within 30 minutes of infection in some cases. It's pretty common in fast-food joints and tough to kill even on stainless surfaces with disinfectants. They all but gauranteed that I got it from Carl's Jr but no one else called in and they said that situation was common, too. Most people get sick and don't bother with the forensics and just blow it off.
One good thing came out of this. I was an ocassional fast-food user. Maybe once a week then not for a few weeks but sometimes hit it a couple times in an odd week. I have not eaten from a fast food joint since January '08. I'm done with it. I feel a hell of a lot better for it, too.

Ref reporting it.....Denver Co is run by a bunch of ethnics...inspectors are ethnics....fast food is run by ethnics....
kids serving em are ethnic......a gringo complaint kinda has a tendency to get lost!!!!! Rant, but true!

Being an X-fast food manager, I wouldn't be too quick to throw all Taco Bells under the bus. All these places are ran by individuals with many levels of competence and/or caring. Apparently this particular Taco Bell wasn't ran very well.

That leads me to believe they found something quite obvious.
Most? of the fast food places have fairly stringent rules about food, prep, handling, storage and shelf life. Most? middle management are conscientious in their habit and work ethics however all it takes is some nose picker making minimum wage to screw up the tra la la.
Is more regulation needed? I don't know, but there seems to be a lot of people eating out nowadays. Restaurant parking lots are always packed around here. The drive thrus are also well used.
Best wishes, Bill

And it really isn't very good. In My Opinion of course.. McDonalds is almost edible.. Never do Taco Bell The Colonel's chicken is really greasy Bugger Fling is somewhat better..Think the best of a bad lot is Wendy's. I always check the bath rooms. If they are dirty then the cooking area will be too.. usually. Here in Wyoming fast food is slow because they can't get enough people to work. The Taco Bell has one or 2 people that understand english..the rest Spanish. Bout the only thinkg I will eat from McD's is an ice cream cone..If I get the bad end deal...I always make a complaint to the health Dept.. Heck the inspector for Cody got fired because he filed too many inspection failures in the restaurants around Cody. Mayor fired the guy when the restaurants complained to her. Things are gonna get better soon though. When Obama is sworn at...er...I mean ..in he's gonna make things so tough on retirees they are gonna have to get jobs at fast food places..and Wally World.

was an Antelope:D , now as fast food my favorite in my area not necessarily every where, Burger King,I know the owner of the local Franchises , runs a tight ship , Wendy's the Wilkes-Barre Store Only, the rest of them the burgers look and taste like thedumpster throw aways from , Burger king And McDonalds , also the local McDonalds 1 Block away, actuallymy favorite, fast food is Italian Pizza , Real Italian, not somedomino, little caesar, pizza hut crap or papa johns they all suck , two locals , Antonios , and Serpicos are the best in Wilkes-barre, if you want the best pizza in the northeast or even the United States , right up the road from me A town called Old Forge take your pick , of any of the shops up there, but i am partial To Arcaro AndGennels Italian Resturant, the best Cuisine in the East, if your a Tripe eater, its the best there is, so is the calamary , fresh none of that frozen junk

Most counties have a health inspection report. You can easily type in the name and see how many violations any particular establishments have....McPat is right any given eatery is only as good as its managers, especially the fast food joints..the employees are mostly kids who have no vested interest ..I have found that places bought by a franchisee (spelling) are usually cleaner and run better...
PS you also need to decipher exactly what a violation is, there are critical and not so critical....means the difference whether you get sick or not.
PS then you got the "crap that falls from the sky" no fault of the establishments...the vendor was bad....hence..recalls beef, spinach, lettuce and such.

whenIgo bear hunting i always joke with the guys hey if you tick one off and he comes after you you don't have to outrun the bear , just the guy next to you:D , bad suppliers are most definetley the cause of most of the maladies when it comes to salmonella and e coli poisonings, most of the fast food places in my area are good but like was mentioned its the management and how they train their employees , Now Denny's Resturant Forget that place i'd sooner eat out of the bottom of an outhouse, than eat there at least the one in my area very high drug traffic area clientel leaves much to be desired, its the kind of a place where you almost have to put your sidearm on the table to be safe

I do understand that idea. Only thing was I was the only one there. I was first...and last....fastest and the slowest. De ol bear..he was asayin..ever eat a hunter?? ...Tastes jest lik Chikin!!
I don't go to Denny's anymore myself. Service is usually pretty bad. Food used to be good but like a lot of Chains they seem to go down without a lot of watching from the top. A place that used to be a lot better than it is now is Cracker Barrel. Service is ok but the quality of the food has gone down. And I have had that problem of both ends after eating there. Unhappily we are usually taveling when that happens. Pre-prepared foods that are microwaved may also be at fault.

The salesman still being in the hospital reminds me of patients I had last year...The elderly mother lives in Florida full time and had been a patient for a couple of years..I didnt know her story until the son and daughter-in-law came in and we got to know each other. The family lived in New York, not sure what part but in their neighborhood was a small family owned market. The mother bought two packages of ground meat for hamburgers for a family get together. She said by the "grace of God" she didnt mix the two and opened them separately to form the patties. Her husband (elderly)and grandson ate from one package and I think a family friend? The husband died and the grandson lost his kidneys and sustained some other permanant organ damage. The grandfather was on life support for a month and the kid who was I think 15 at the time was in the hospital for 6 months. From what I gather a very large settlement was made, but the damage to the kid will be with him always....we, in this country take food safety for granted...I subscribe to alerts on food and product recalls...I dont know why but I have been doing it for a while now.
Literally everyday in my e-mail one or more products are on the list. I dont hear about them on the news...but this families story hit me hard... the old Italian grandmother who has been cooking for 60 years???? If it could happen to this family, it could happen to any of us..and you will never see it coming..

I've been there the local one here is ok i don't care for the chicken , my wife loves the place , my favorite place for dining out like that is Logan's Steakhouse, nothing beats a good rare steak and a good dark lager preferably Yuengling Lager, makes all the other beers taste like dish water, most of the other beers just don't have that quenching taste, must be the coal dust in the area got used to the frothy mugs of good flavor, the flavor is in the head of the beer , the young generation only drink for effect

This past summer a woman and her mother from my former church ate at the local Taco Bell. Both got very sick and the mother died three days later. Taco Bell was checked but never closed. As far as I know, nothing was ever found to be the cause, but that meal was the only thing they ate together that day.
