Can anyone tell me the reason you cannot shoot cast bullets from Glocks? I've heard reports of guns blowing up when using ammo with cast bullets.
Any kind of rational would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance.

I believe the warning is to not shoot lead bullets in polygonal rifled barrels, which Glock uses. The design of the barrel is suppose to lead heavier then regular rifleing and possibly give problems. I`ve heard of others useing lead with no problems though. I personally would not without the OK for the manufacture. JMO

Joe is correct. It's the polygonal rifling that causes problems. Aftermarket barrels with regular rifling AND fully supported chambers are best if you want to shoot either cast bullets or 40 S&W reloads from a Glock.

I shoot Berry's plated bullets in a Gen III Glock 22 & an H&K usp 40c with factory barrels. My loads are modest & I clean after low round count shooting.
My Gen III Glock to my eye seems to have as much chamber support as the H&K. I have read that is the case with the newer Glocks. Anyway it works for me.
