Spent some time at the gun shop and finally determined what would be best for me...well that's not quite right ,what I determined to be best was $800.00 so I went down a hair with the .38 Smith&Wesson 642 revolver. Its lightweight and found the holster for my ankle,: a leather diehard ankle rig "Desantis" so far so good but havent worn it for a full work day yet..
at least I have solved the chicken or the egg problem, now I can play with various holsters that will work for me in different dress...:D
I am a happy happy girl ;)

I tried an ankle holster once, never could get used to the dadgumed contraption.
Plus that I got visions in my mind of an old guy hobbling down the street on one leg trying to draw his piece.
I didn't like the image I seen.
Best wishes, Bill

Valigator,
I used an ankle holster off-and-on for 26 years. Practice drawing with an empty gun until you "groove" the drill.

if the ankle thing doesnt do it for you try a superfly pocket holster, nice set up for an situation. i think you will enjoy the gun. i would be interested if you find a best carry load. i currently cant find one that is nearly as accurate as ball tip standard pressure stuff. kt
