Does anyone know if a .311 bullet can be sized down (fairly easily) to .309? I have a .30 Luger that I would like to reload for (as shells are now more than $1/apiece). I was thinking about getting the LEE .311 93 grain round nose mold and sizing it down, as it is the right bullet weight and nose configuration.
Any thoughts? I'm not looking to make this a super whiz bang shooter.....just looking to make some rounds that I can punch paper with occasionally.
Thanks in advance.

There's nothing unusual about sizing a .311 cast bullet down to .309.
If you have a bullet sizer, a .309 sizing die, and a round nose top punch, you should be all set.

Is to get a Lee Sizing kit in 309.. Tumble lube the bullets in their alox and then push 'em through the die....and that way you don't even need a nose punch..just for plinking anyway..
