I currently carry IWB, but I'm thinking that their may be times when a good shoulder holster or ankle holster may be more comfortable or concealable. Anyone out there with any real experience with either? I'm looking at the Bianchi X15 model for a shoulder holster.....not sure about the ankle rig.
Thanks in advance.

Have you considered Galco? http://www.usgalco.com/
I've looked at Bianchi holsters in the past. Even though Galco costs more, the quality and leather was better.
They have a Miami Classic II, Jackass Rig and a VHS shoulder rig you might like.
These prices are better than the company site and are competitive with Bianchi:

I have these for my autos:

and this one for a revolver: http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT3.asp?ProductID=986&CatalogID=4
I'm considering the VHS rig for my 44mag for hunting.

Mr. 16 gauge,
Yes, I had real experience with both shoulder and ankle holsters "on the street" for 26 years.
The X15 is ok; just practice drawing from it a lot before you "go live" with it. I used ankle holsters and will say they are slow to get to the gun when you are standing/walking and great when you are sitting at a table or booth and need to "fill your hand." I usually had my backup pistol in an ankle holster inside my left leg-I liked the .380 PPK because it was light and reliable.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the input, guys....
Adam;
What ankle rig did you use, and did you find it comfortable? That is exactly the situation (BUG) and firearm (Walther PPk/s) that I plan to use it for.
Thanks again..........

Mr. 16 gauge,
I left the agency on 4/1/1996 and the ankle holster and PPK were agency property and left there. Yes, the holster was comfortable with the PPK and I cannot recall the make or model of it. Both the holster and PPK were vey light and I forgot I was wearing the rig until there was a need.
