Was checking out a 1911-A1 over the weekend. Was suprised to find out it was manufactured by Kuhr Arms in of all places, Massachusetts. Looked to be pretty well made. The one I saw had decent bluing, wood grips and the throat and ramp appeared to be polished. It was absent of tool marks. Being a Mass Compliant the trigger pull was pretty heavy.

My queston is has anyone owned or shot one of these? The price was around $530. Compare to the Kimbers and SW its about half.

Its hard to own a 1911 in Massachusetts. We have a lot of requirments which eliminates a ton of manufactures including Springfield. Springfield is in Massachusetts and my understand they flat refuse to comply with the reg's to sell guns here.

Anyway let me know what you think?

my kahr arms 1911a1 milspec has never failed to function. a drop in vedecki (sp?) trigger will improve the trigger pull tremendously.
