Col Elk Draws Posted Last Night

Was supposed to be next month....however, as of this morning, Colorado Elk/Antelope draws are on the sight. Deer should be along shortly! I drew my PL Elk.

Wow, a gov org early - who woulda thought...
I didn't get my 1st season elk. Got a general OTC 2nd season bull. The worst thing about that season is that there are too many hunters in the woods then.

GG, I only put in for Elk.....perhaps I'll try full boat next year. This place looks like the ole goat is a guest for the rest of his life!
We'll see how it goes.

Mike, if you are going up to 15 again, watch out for a 6 caravan of ATV's.....orange helmets and total orange coveralls...gonna be every one from grandma/dad/wife n kids......no hunting gear! They like to circle the fire trails.....PETA! They stay just within the law....I couldn't get cell coverage to get a warden to respond.They did spook everything we had staked out!
Went back to the Jimmy n put on a DPD Swat baseball cap n a war belt...
stood by the trail ....they did a U and never saw em again!....did file a report though.

Dan - I'll be elk hunting in 441/4/301 area. I like 1st rifle season there but this year it's gonna be 2nd season, kinda crowded. I heard of some trouble with some bambi lovers on the east coast where I was hunting years ago. I didn't get hassled but heard that they were following hunters and banging on garbage lids etc. There were arrests. Should remind us that we need to defend our right to hunt. Thanks for doing something about those folks you came across.
