I was in the archery shop (what there is of one nowdays) in the town were I work yesterday and the British Bowyer they have on staff (in East Texas) and I got to BSing about bows. I told him about me preferring to finger shoot and he says (in that cheeky British accent) "ah well I have just the thing for you if you are a finger shooter". He pulls out an older split limb hoyt with a axle to axle of 44 (or maybe he said 48 I cant remember I was in dreamy land at the time) that has been well used. They got it for next to nothing on a trade-in because the plastic bits between the riser and the limbs had cracked in two places. They contacted Hoyt who said "well that shouldn't have happened" and sent them the replacement bits for free despite it being an older bow. The bow has been fully inspected and other than needing a new string and the bits replaced it is in GREAT shape. I asked him what they were going to ask for it and I was told between $100-$125 dollars US. I am first on the list for it, and he thinks he will have it finished by this afternoon. As long as the price stays in that range she is coming home with me! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
I figured my wife was going to kill me when I called and told her but she just sighed and said that if I didn't have enough cash on me to pick it up today she would pull some out this afternoon and I could pick it up tomorrow.
I love that woman, I really REALLY do.
