Nice number of blocks there.....what I would have done is leave more of a space in front of the blind; a 'landing zone' for ducks coming in....I used to do the "J", "C", "U", "W" thing with my decoy spread.....now I just put them out and leave openings in front of where we will be standing.....seems to work pretty well. One other thing I do is segregate decoys by size; smaller duck decoys, such as teal, are set off by themselves, as are goose decoys. I was told that bigger birds will push smaller birds off of a food source....don't know if that is true or not, but it does seem to work for decoying in the different species.

yeah we left a decent sized hole out in front of the blind and i'm not sure if you can tell but our goose decoys are about 40 yards down from the blind. Early in the season we just kind of threw them out there and we didnt have as many birds actually land in the decoys so for this late season i figured i would make two groups on both sides of the blind and we put about a dozen or two out in front of the blind and it looks really good. but i guess we will find out saturday morning.
