Anybody else getting ready for the PA. opener? I have the 444 driving tacks and the 45-70 in reserve.:D We are doing our annual run to Sullivan Co. Hope we see a little snow.

Pre-64,
Sullivan County is very good bear country about like Tioga County. I see a few nice bears about the farm here, but I do not hunt them. Good luck hunting them.

You are most certianly right there Adam, Good Bear country. Seems like that whole section up in your parts is steaming with Bear activity. One thing that has crossed my mind over the last few seasons is where the heck do they disappear to? I mean, I know early hibernation may have something to do with it but in the summer months the local paper is full of sightings, you can't walk into a restaurant without hearing about the big boar over at so and so's place, ect... Heck, we had them hanging at the cabin the last 3 summers on a nightly basis. Seems that once Archery really gets goin, so do the Bear. Do they disappear into the belly of Worlds End State Park where no hunter seems to tread:confused:
