I just rotated my Colt M1911 into the vault and got out my M65 S&W 3-inch stainless .357 revolver I built in 1983 at S&W Armorers' School. I like revolvers and this is my favorite for in town carry or on the trek into the big woods.
I always start my handgun students on revolvers and many buy a .38 Special or .357 DA as their first gun. My son insists that I should move them to the Glocks. I like semi-auto pistols and realize it takes many range sessions to "groove" them. Folks who ever shot a water pistol or cap gun can do passably well with a DA revolver.
Revolvers will always have a place in CCW in my opinion.

Dang, this sounds familiar, when I do carry, I alternate between my 1911 and a 4" M19. Carry it under a jacket in a Hi Rise Safari Land.

If I could only own one handgun it would be a revolver. Yes I do like and have used semi's like my favorite from my service day (no its not a Beretta) 1911a1 and found it awesome but there is nothing live good old M19, M66 M27, okrPython Revolver. Best of all they always work wheter covered in mud, snow or ice.
Gotta love them.

Currently carry a Colt Detective special in .38 special from time to time.....
....last week I found a small gun shop that had a used Ruger Security six with 2 3/4" barrel in stainless steel.....too bad I now currently have a daughter in college and no funds to buy it with!:(

buckhunter & Mr. 16 gauge,
Happy Thanksgiving to you both and all other huntchat folks.
A revolver is an ambidexterous "Point and Click" device that is not hindered by safety switches, decocking levers, etc.

I have several suitable revolvers for CCW, and they all get a turn. I like a two inch barrel .38 for pocket carry on the hot Florida days.
The load is currently a 140 grain Sierra JHP over Blue Dot powder.
