Which do you prefer to stretch your hides on, and why? Just looking for some input/information.
Thanks in advance...........

wire for rats and coon

wood for canines, mink and otter(don't forget the belly wedges)

32x48 inch X 1/2 inch plywood with the oval pattern lines marked for beaver. The patterrns for the lines can be obtained from most of the big canadian fur houses.

I prefer these stretchers because I think the make for a better looking put up of my fur.

I use wire for rats and wood for everything else including coon. NAFA prefers their coon to be put on boards rather than wire. The tail should be shortened when it goes on the auction to make it look fuller. You can shorten the tail very easily if you use wire stretchers.
