My local gun shop just got in a ton of reloading components. It seems a lot of backorders just got filled. They have Winchester primers for the first time in a year. I swapped out all my CCI primers for Winchester brand. They have a full line of IMR powders. Life is good. Take care...

I would have gladly traded off Winchester primers for CCI. We have not been able to get the complete line of CCI primers around here (Richmond, VA) for a year or so. Every other brand (as well as component) now seems to be back on the shelf.

Just ordered 5000 Wolf Lg. Rifle primers and 500 Once-fired military7.62X51 cases from Wideners - my CETME and .308 bolt rifles will be well fed. :)
The LR's were the last ones I needed to put up a good stock for my reloading future. I won't be caught short by another 'shortage'.

Now need to cruise the sites for the best deal on .308 bullets, including a couple hundred for my .30-30.

I don't know, guys.....I just got done searching several sites on the web for bullets, primers, and ammo, and all I keep coming up with is "backorder, , backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder, backorder":(

If stuff is starting to show up on dealer shelves (and it isn't around here.....hence my surfing the net), then why isn't it showing up on the net at all.

FWIW, I'm looking at ALL primers, and bullets/brass for the .35 Remington & .44 special.

I went to Green Top a couple of days ago and they did have CCI SP & SPM primers but no CCI LP primers. Luckily I went across the street to Gander Mountain and they had CCI LP primers. They said that they had just gotten in a new shipment of everything but that it was going fast.

While at Green Top I did notice that the price of their "store-bought" cast bullets had come down a little in price. Before the crunch (or Obamination or whatever you want to call it) a box of 500 .45 ACP 230 gr. LSWC bullets had been $24.95. A month or so later they had gone up to $54.95 (:eek:). I noticed the other day that they are now (I think) like $49,95. I think I still need to takek up bullet casting.
