I just got back today from a 10 day -1800 mile work trip

But I'm leaving again (this time by choice!) on Wed to drive 2500 from MI to Portland OR. Plan a 3 day blitz - with Mother Natures help

If anyone is on the 80-84 route ...I'll buy the coffee !

dog is delivered to Portland safe and sound

Sitting in the Portland airpoirt now..have about 5 hrs till my flight (redeye)

Have to admit that the route i did today coming into Portland and the Columbia gorge via 84 was second ONLY to the route through Yellowstone/Teton for scenic beauty and variety. And I've done almost all the Natl parks there are and a good portion of this country's roads.

well worth it if you get the chance

Well, that makes 4,400 miles driven in just the last 14 days:eek:

Today they hit me with my next trip - Starting TH, and it looks like about 3,000 miles to IL, KS, AR and....... COLORADO (yup, including Littleton and Co Sprgs, this time around!)

not sure my butt is up to another road trip just yet.

FIJI, Sorry about the wreck east of Rawlins. Five from Washington State killed when they went through the median strip and hit an 18 wheeler head on. We get a lot of accidents between Rawlins and Laramie. I-80 is called the Snow-Chi Minh Trail by Wyoming folks. Speeding too fast for road conditions is the usual cause with leaving the cruise control on while on icy patches is a big contributer. You want to stay aware (awake) when you travel that road this time of year.

didnt click with me that a member was actually FROM Rawlins

I ate at the restaurant there next to the super8.

That 18 wheeler ended up on my side of the highway at least a half mile from the impact with the pickup truck (at least I think it was a pickup) It was a baaaad scene, Sorry to hear about the family

anyone seen Dan lately ?? I have some yuppie-coffee with his name on it.

FIJI, The Patrol report said that "pickup" was actually a suburban. The Rawlins resturant
you ate at is Cappy's. Not too bad a place. I go there often.
